What we collect
When you contact us
When you fill in a form on this website and press the button, we save what you entered so our team can call you back. This can include your name, phone number, your email address if you give one, what you studied, where you are in your studies or career, and any question you ask. For college requests, it also includes the college name, the number of students and a preferred time. We also note which page the form was on and, if you came from an ad or another website, which one.
If you give your email address, we send you one email to confirm we have your details. We do not add you to a mailing list.
After your details are saved, you can also choose to open WhatsApp with the same message already typed. We only receive that WhatsApp message if you press send.
If you call us, email us or visit the centre, we note down what you tell us, such as your name, phone number, qualification and the course you are interested in, so we can follow up.
When you join our jobs WhatsApp group
The group is run on WhatsApp. Other members of the group can see your phone number, your WhatsApp name and your profile photo, depending on your WhatsApp privacy settings. Please keep this in mind before you join.
When you browse this website
We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how people use the site and to measure our ads. These tools collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level), and the website or ad that brought you here. They use cookies and similar technology to do this. We do not see your name or phone number in this data.
How we use your information
- To reply to your questions and book counselling calls or visits.
- To tell you about courses, batch dates and fees that you asked about.
- To share job openings through the WhatsApp group, if you joined it.
- To see which pages and ads are useful, and improve the website.
We do not sell your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
- Cloudflare, which runs this website and stores the details you send through our forms.
- Resend, which sends our confirmation emails.
- WhatsApp and Meta, which carry our WhatsApp messages and run the Meta Pixel.
- Google, which runs Google Analytics, Google Maps, Google Fonts and YouTube.
- Employers, only if you are our student, only for placement, and only with your permission. For example, we may send your resume to a company that is hiring.
- Government or legal authorities, if the law requires it.
Cookies and how to turn them off
Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The website works without them.
- To stop Google Analytics on all websites, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- To control ads from Meta on Facebook and Instagram, go to your Meta ad preferences.
Videos, maps and fonts
Our student videos play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and they only load when you press play. The map on our Contact and About pages comes from Google Maps. Our text font loads from Google Fonts. When these load, Google receives your IP address and browser details, as it does on any website that uses them. Their use of this information is covered by Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last conversation with you. If you join a course, we keep your details for as long as you are our student and for as long as we are helping you find a job, and then for the period the law requires for our records. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically under the retention setting in our Google account.
Keeping it safe
Only BMIT staff who need your details to help you can see them, and they must sign in to do so. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

- correct or update it,
- delete it, when we no longer need it for the reason you gave it,
- stop contacting you, at any time.
To do any of this, email hello@bmitedu.com with "Privacy" in the subject line. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
